Introduction
On the area organized by the Consulate General of Japan in Marseille, Japanese artists living in the South of France exhibit their works. A perfect opportunity to discover creative artists, their styles and their works!
Chiaki MASUI-DUPRÉ, studio IKOU
Trained at Aubagne’s ceramics school, the ceramic artist Chiaki MASUI-DUPRÉ also learned on various studios in France. She thinks that technical improvement lies in daily efforts but above all it’s motivated by the artist’s sensitivity. She tries to inject a soul into the clay objects she makes.
Though she’s been trained in France, she finds great inspiration in her Japanese culture.
Nozawa
The artist Nozawa finds inspiration in the landscapes he sees everyday, reinventing them on his canvas, like a landscape gardener, applying colors and abstract shapes to create a new world.
