Football has pride of place during the 4th Wave!! And to honor it as like the king of sports it is in Marseille, Japan Expo Sud welcomes Nobuhiro OKASEKO, the chara-designer of the Anime Captain Tsubasa!

Meet Nobuhiro OKASEKO during the whole festival

Nobuhiro OKASEKO started his career in Tôei Dôga studios (now called Tôei Animation) in 1958, where he worked for many films at the same period as his friend Rintarô. He was then hired by Osamu TEZUKA who was looking for animators for his new studio, Mushi Pro. He took part in many series, among which Tetsuwan Atom (Astro Boy).

Contacted by Tsuchida Production studio, he took part in the Anime series which made him famous in Japan and in Europe, Captain Tubasa. It was very successful and was the beginning the popularity of football in Japan.
