Martial arts for everyone
At the Budô area, local martial art clubs welcome you at any time of the day to share their knowledge and teach you many disciplines. They take turns on the tatami, proposing demonstrations and initiations.
Whether you’re sporty or not, the Budô area has to be part of your discovery of Japanese culture. Admire the art of expert practitioners and if you feel like it, try your first kata (codified martial arts movements) with them. A perfect activity for kids and grownups alike!
Many disciplines to discover
In 2018, Japan Expo Sud invited you to meet 6 martial art clubs. In all, they introduced you to 10 disciplines, including the famous karate or kendô, or lesser known disciplines such as iaidô or shôrinji kenpô.
