Biography

Nobuhiro OKASEKO started his career in Tôei Dôga studios (now called Tôei Animation) in 1958, where he worked for many films at the same period as his friend Rintarô. He was then hired by Osamu TEZUKA who was looking for animators for his new studio, Mushi Pro. He took part in many series, among which Tetsuwan Atom (Astro Boy).

Nobuhiro OKASEKO became friends with the famous creator Kohan KAWAUCHI, song-writer and funder of the animation studio Knak, and took part in live series such as Diamond Eye as designer and director.

Back in animation, he worked on the movies of the Yamato saga and also on Akakichi no Eleven, an Anime dedicated to football. Later, as a freelance, he took part in many other Anime such as Cutie Honey, the first season of Lupin III, Calimero and many more.

© All rights reserved Contacted by Tsuchida Production studio, he took part in the Anime series which made him famous in Japan and in Europe, Captain Tubasa. It was very successful and was the beginning the popularity of football in Japan.

Nobuhiro OKASEKO being famous for his work on Anime about football, Nippon Animation studio brought him in for a new production about it. He became the chara-designer and animation director of the series Moero Top Stricker.

Nobuhiro OKASEKO now continues to work on a series for children, Shimashima Tora no Shimajirô.
