Biography

Takako SHIGEMATSU started her career in 1995 with short stories, which gave her the opportunity in 2002 to publish her first series, Taiyomade 3 meters, in the monthly magazine Princess, specialized in Shôjo, in which she kept on publishing to this day, becoming one of the main artist of the magazine.

She distanced herself by creating pulsating Shôjo! Her second series, Tenshi Ja Nai!, confirmed this by featuring the school life of the heroine who works as a bodyguard, a secretary and a spy, all at the same time, for a young showbiz star.

Takako SHIGEMATSU went on with another successful series in 2006, Kyukyoku Venus, in which a headstrong character faces the unfairness of high society. The artist didn’t stop, starting a fourth series, which is currently being published in Japan, Makami-sama no iu tori!. The atmosphere in this Manga is quite mysterious, standing out in sharp contrast to her previous titles. You can discover the first volume in exclusivity at Japan Expo Sud, as well as the first double volume of de Tenshi Ja Nai!.
