Biography

 

Yoko HANABUSA is currently a Mangaka and Manga professor assistant at Toei Animation University. She started her carrier in 1978 by publishing in Desire, a special edition of the magazine Hitomi. She went on publishing many productions, mainly in Hitomi.

Her most famous work is Lady !!, which you may better know under the name Hello! Lady Lynn. The Manga was so successful that it was adapted as an Anime by Toei Animation. The series got very popular, in Japan as well as all over Asia and Europe!

Since then, Yoko HANABUSA has extended her universe by trying various genres such as thriller, horror or romantic comedies. She is also working on historical fictions such as Elisabeth of Austria (Sissi) or classical novel adaptations such as Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. In 2008, she started a sequel to Hello! Lady Lynn.

Yoko HANABUSA takes part in many events abroad. Thus she shares her experience as a professor and teaches how to create a Manga, as she will do for you with Harumo SANAZAKI at Japan Expo Sud.
