The guests of the 2nd Wave
Many guests had come to take part to the second wave of Japan Expo Sud in Marseille and drew masses of people whether on the main stage, in the conference room or during signing sessions.

The Guests of honor of the festival were of course assailed by crowds of people: Kazuki AKANE, director, story boarder and illustrator, and Satoshi URUSHIHARA, animator, character designer and Manga artist. Both signed gorgeous bookplates for their fans, massing in the signing session room. Everyday the artists were delighted to meet their French fans who had the unique opportunity to witness Kazuki AKANE’s talents at work during an exceptional public masterclass. Both guests also gave conferences.

Aurore, illustrator of posters for Japan Expo festivals, met her readership and admirers and signed beautiful illustrations for them. The public also discovered her work as a BD author.

Manhua, Chinese comics, was represented too, by Benjamin (published by Xiao Pan) as well as Chaiko and Nie JUN (published by Bao, Paquet). They all showed their personal styles and the originality of Chinese comics. The public met them during signing sessions and a conference by Benjamin who drew an illustration on a computer right before an astounded audience.

The many music guests thrilled the audience of the stage of Japan Expo Sud: the J-Pop singers Jelly Beans, the electro duo ☆Wotaku World Wave☆ and the prince of Visual Kei Aoi all enthralled the public who met Aoi and the Jelly Beans for signing sessions.
