Based on the life of the last Empress of Korea who opened the country to international exchanges and died murdered by the Japanese, The Sword with No Name (Le Sang du Guerrier) got the Prix Action Asia 2010 (Asia action movie award for 2010) at the Deauville Asian Film Festival.

Synopsis
By the end of the 19th century, Moo-myoung, bounty hunter and shrewd swordsman, meets the noble Ja-young, future and last empress of the Korean Choseon dynasty. Madly in love, Moo-myoung gets hired to serve his queen by infiltrating her personal guard, in order to look after her.
Ja-young, a modern queen, soon incurs her step-father’s wrath when she decides to hold her hand out to the West and Russia…
