“Make the world entertaining with surprise.” That is the motto spoon+, an artist launched in 2010 with the vocalist Aco. Since her first show in the summer of 2010 at Kouenji High live house, she has charmed the audience and gained many fans.

The single Mayonaka okashi onnanoko, Shiranai tobira konkon was released in November 2011 a few months after her first album, Birth. 9 more singles and 3 albums followed, along with the release of the live video of Oishi Imagination (OTOTOY). A new album is getting ready, to be released this year. spoon+ has also collaborated to creating several titles with other artists.

Outside music, Aco is also a costume designer and has designed dresses for an apparel brand. 

spoon+’s live performances mix image and music. Aco produces all the artwork, such as stage effects, images, music, and costume designs for live performances by herself. Audiences have been amazed by the use of various visual effect gimmicks like 3D mapping, LED lights, and dancers, and said they felt like they were in a music video. Others said it was like a musical.

Aco named the group “spoon+” for the intonation of the word “spoon” itself and the image of “scooping something soft.” Also “+” means “further possibility.”                           

spoon+ is now coming to France for her first show, and she’ll be with you on Friday: “I’m so glad that our first performance in France will be held at  Japan Expo Sud. I’m also creating brand new costumes. I guarantee that you’re gonna have lots of fun!”
