Karaté Dojo Marseillais
The association Karaté Dojos Marseillais is always present at Japan Expo Sud to share and make discover the most famous martial art of Japan.
ABOUT THE STAND
The practitioners of the Karaté Dojo Marseillais invite you to join them to learn the basics of karate: initiation sessions are offered for young and old alike! And for those who are a little chilly at the idea of going on the tatami of the Budō space, demonstrations are on the program throughout the day between the initiations.
The stand will offer initiations of fundamental foot/fist techniques, reactivity exercises on targets, motor skills courses for the younger ones.
karaté dojo marseillais
Karaté Dojo Marseillais is a karate club created in July 2014.
The club is composed mainly of two dōjōs, the first in the 9th district of Marseille at Redon. The courses given there are focused on the preparation of kata and kumite competitions and technical learning of shotokan karate, as well as traditional and leisure karate for all. It is the only Provençal club to have obtained medals in the French cup in kata and kumite in recent seasons.
The second dōjō is located at the Gymnase de la Rouvière in the same district. The classes given here are mainly reserved for children. An "awakening" section for 4 to 6 year olds and a "children's" section for 7 to 11 year olds occupy the dojo each week. The "awakening" section works in a playful way, learns the rules of life, how to find one's way in space, and is gradually directed towards karate. The "children's" section takes up the same basis of work, and is directed towards katas and kumite, more technical.
Despite the impact of the pandemic, the association has survived and is relaunching with many young people. Don't hesitate to join them on the tatami for a friendly moment during Japan Expo Sud!
