Aikido

The regional league and the FFAAA’s comity, federation supported by the French ministry for Youth and Sports, will provide demonstrations and initiations to their sports. All along the festival, sessions will be animated by experienced teachers and adherents from several clubs of the county.

There are no aikido competitions, which is a soft and complete physical activity. Its goal is to help us apprehend spaces, to achieve a better shape, a better relation towards partners and especially how to react well in a conflict, beginning with trying to avoid it! This martial art is to be practiced bare-handed and uses several catch and attack techniques. It also requires the use of traditional Japanese wood weapons. Aikido allows gender-mix lessons and includes people of all age. Children can try it too!
