Ahead of the thread: Monoya Tokyo
Come and visit this boutique that's pulling out all the stops! Discover a unique range of handmade Japanese textiles at the Monoya Tokyo trade stand.
Monoya Tokyo is a Franco-Japanese assemblage that binds the couple Yuji and Caroline in a knot of complicity, both coming together in a passion for Japanese craftsmanship and textile traditions.
Their mission? To give new life to kimonos and other traditional Japanese fabrics (obi, haori, yukata...), transforming them into unique, handmade accessories.
In their workshop-boutique in Albi, each piece is meticulously crafted: clutches, bags, purses, cushion covers, picture frames, costume jewelry, and many other creations. Each fabric is carefully selected during stays in Japan, then shipped to France before being sublimated.
With Monoya Tokyo, Caroline and Yuji offer an encounter between Japanese heritage and an ethical approach, combining contemporary design and respect for tradition.
