Japan Expo Sud 12th Wave is postponed to 2022, on Feb. 18-20

Posted on

Hello Everyone,

We aren't bearer of good news today. 2020's edition was disrupted by the covid19 Crisis, but we were able to maintain though persistence and hard work to adapt. However, we must resolve to pospone the 12th wave of Japan Expo Sud, which was planned from March 5th to 7th, 2021. We now plan it somewhere around February 18th to 20th, 2022. The current sanitary situation wouldn't allow for a safe and relaxed festival.

We understand that we share this decision a bit late, but we took the time to explore all the options we had to maintain the show. We have loooked for new dates, new organizations ... no answer has been satisfactory enough. This postponement is a heartbreak for us as well.

This is, once a gain, a hard blow for Japan Expo. Our only revenues are stemming from your tickets and booths. We have two shows a year, and we were hurt quite a bit last year, especially by Japan Expo not happining in Paris.

We know that we can count on you, today and tomorrow, to support Japan Expo Sud and to help us through this covid19 turmoil.

We will automatically postpone your tickets from 2021 to 2022. However, if you want to refund them, we will send an email to all tickets owners to explain how to do so.

We are really frustated by this situation. This Pandemic hurts us deep in our passion. Protective habits, masks, vaccines ... solutions are here now, and the hopes for an end to this crisis are strong. Let's all focus on doing what's necessary and meet again in 2022, to enjoy even more our renewed ability to gather and share our love for Japan.

And if you can't wait for 2022, we would be more than happy to welcome you at Japan Expo Paris, for its 21st Impact, from July 15th to 18th, 2021, at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center.

We will keep in touch and inform you during the long months to come. In the meantime, take advantage of the long preparation time to create incredible copslays, and most importantly, keep safe!

Sandrine, Jean-François and Thomas, founders of the festival, and the whole team of Japan Expo
