Masaki SATO, from Dragon Ball to Slam Dunk
For Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, Japan Expo Sud is celebrating sports with Masaki SATO, chara-designer of Slam Dunk! This talented animator also worked on Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes: don’t miss this talented artist at the festival!
Behind some of the most striking scenes from the anime Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z is hidden the talent of Masaki SATO, who also designed the characters in Slam Dunk. Key animator and chara-designer, the artist is also an animation director and has recently been part of the City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes movie and in the upcoming film Digimon. He is famous for his fighting scenes.
Attending all three days at Japan Expo Sud, Masaki SATO will be holding signings and a conference with a live drawing. As the chara-designer of one of the most popular sports anime of all times, Slam Dunk, he will be celebrating sports as the theme of Japan Expo Sud with us, for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
