In Japan, the tea ceremony, or chadô, is a traditional ritual that became very popular in the 12th century. Later, samurai took on matcha, bitter powder green tea, and started spreading the tea ceremony ritual. Chadô takes great care of the preparation of the tea, in every detail. Drinking tea has to be accomplished in a quiet and sober tea room, and is an experience of serenity.
