Yuji Kaida, the painter of kaiju

Yuji Kaida has portrayed many famous Japanese monsters, such as the famous Godzilla, a reptilian creature that spreads terror over Tokyo. Or the scientist who can swap with a gigantic alien to fight monsters, Ultraman. More recently, Yuji Kaida produced several illustrations from the Neon Genesis Evangelion series, representing NERVs overlooking the destroyed city.

Japan Expo Sud gathered about twenty of his works in an exhibition to show the diversity of his work! This artist has worked on many supports: books, posters or even movie posters. Multiplying techniques and effects, he represents his monsters as merciless giants who destroy everything in their path.
