On the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and Japan, Japan Expo Sud is celebrating its traditional culture and music. Taiko has been beating out the rhythm of Japanese life for centuries; from religious rites to kabuki and matsuri. One of the best known traditional instruments, taiko has been updated around the 1960s. It’s that version that SEN and LYU TAIKO will show you at Japan Expo Sud. Both groups, the first coming from Japan and the second being French, are offering enchanting traditional music shows and holding initiations for you!
